William “Bill” J. Roughia Sr., 65, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday morning, September 19, 2026, at StoryPoint Fort Wayne West.

Bill was born in Decatur on April 15, 1961, to William L. and Pauline (Roop) Roughia.

A 1979 Norwell High School graduate, Bill went on to work for Almco Steel for over 30 years. He was a member of the Bluffton Moose Lodge Post 242. He enjoyed grilling, cooking, car rides with his dog, and traveling from casino to casino, but his favorite casino was “The Boat”.

Survivors include two children, William “Bill” (Abby) Roughia of Fort Wayne, and Nikki (Drew) Parsons of Bluffton; three sisters, Coleen (Bill) Curry of Fort Wayne, Mary Jane (Ed) Bobay of Columbus, OH, and Donna (Michael “Mike”) Chamness of Dunkirk; along with five grandchildren, Ian, Maggy, Wayne, Addison and Clayton.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister Ginger Ridgeley, a grandson Owen Roughia and his dog Elton.

In accordance to Bill’s wishes there are no public services at this time.

A private family burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ossian at a later date.
