March 16, 1931 – December 6, 2016
Wilda B. Cochran, 85, of Bluffton, passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 6, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born in Lafayette, IN, on Mar. 16, 1931, to Cyril and Celia W. (Staley) Rockwell, she married John E. Cochran in Swayzee, IN, on Dec. 31, 1952; he survives.
Wilda was 1949 graduate of Galveston High School, and in April of 1981, she became a charter member of Sonlight Wesleyan Church. She was also a member of Gideons International – Wells County Camp and was a homemaker.
Additional survivors include a son, Stephen (Diane) Cochran of Decatur; three daughters, Cindy (Dale) Adler of Decatur, Brenda (Jon) Hoard of Auburn, and Julie Cochran of Bluffton; 10 grandchildren, Jerod (Michelle) Adler, Philip Cochran, Keith Cochran, Rebecca Cochran, and Michelle Cochran, all of Decatur, Dr. Heather Adler (Travis) Clark of Thornton, CO, Landon (Joy) Adler of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Bethany (Gabriel) Girard of Kokomo, and Harrison Hoard and Hailey Hoard of Auburn; 10 great-grandchildren, Elliott Adler, Isaiah Clark, Abigail Clark, Johnathan Clark, Samuel Owen Clark, Wade Haynes, Whitney Haynes, Mathew Girard, Lydia Girard, and Moriah Girard; and a sister, Emilee Groh of West McCormick, SC.
In addition to her parents, Wilda was preceded in death by a sister, Loudell Clauss, and Thomas R. Rockwell.
Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at 2:00 PM, at Sonlight Wesleyan Church, 2350 South St. Rd. 1, Bluffton, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation will also be on Friday, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 East State Road 124, Bluffton, IN. Burial will be at Stahl Cemetery in Reiffsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, Wells County Camp.
