Wilbur "Willie" L. Schwaller, 77, of Decatur, formally of Monroe, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Adams Memorial Hospital. Mr. Schwaller was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Ida Grove, Iowa, to Leonard and Anna (Brinkman) Schwaller. He married Nancy Pinkerton in Domestic on July 2, 1988; she preceded him in death Feb. 25, 2005. Surviving relatives include two daughters, Barbara (Joe) Russell of Virginia Beach, Va., and Caryl Schwaller of Leesburg; one son, Lou (Keri) Schwaller of Monroe; three stepsons, Earl (Lynn) Ewart of Markleville, Kevin (Cathy) Ewart of Bluffton and Scott (Cammie) Ewart of Mooresville; one brother, Kenneth (Harriet) Schwaller of Monroe; and 15 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Mr. Schwaller was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Sandy Ewart, and two sisters, Mary Helen Buescher and Lois Ann Schwaller. Calling hours will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. A rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. A Celebration of Christian Mass will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur. Burial will be at Alberson Cemetery in Domestic. Memorial contributions can be given to St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur.
