Viola Marie Gerber, 93, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, went to be with the Lord at 11:59 p.m. Saturday April 23rd, 2016.

Vi enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She loved to travel, and was an avid reader and fisherman. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Fort Lauderdale.

Vi was born February 2nd, 1923 in Adams County, IN, to Joe R. and Minnie (Aeschliman) Isch.  She married Edward H. Gerber on March 18th, 1945 in Bluffton, IN; he preceded her in death on Apr. 1, 2012.

Surviving are two daughters, Faye (Mike) Hohulin, and Sue (Sid) Troxel, both of Fort Lauderdale; five grandchildren, Andrew (Amy) Hohulin, Tara (David) Prevo, Andrea (Tyler) Geer, Marisa Troxel, and Megan Troxel; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Carolyne) Isch of Bluffton; three sisters, Lucile Frauhiger, Irene Neuenschwander, and Betty (Bill) Longenberger, all of Bluffton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Vi was preceded in death by five brothers, Ervin Isch, Walter Isch, Alvin Isch, Glen Isch, and Hubert Isch; and one sister, Mildred Krill.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 29th, 2016, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30th at the Apostolic Christian Church East.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with church ministers officiating.  Burial is at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
