Truman D. Yergler, 93, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday morning, January 30, 2016, at Christian Care Retirement Community.

Born on December 18, 1922, in Gridley, IL, to John E. and Ella M. (Isch) Yergler; Truman married Marcella Tonner in Bluffton on April 22, 1945; she survives.

Truman was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.  He had worked for 17 years at Prairie Supply Company in Berne and for 15 years at NESCO Rentals in Bluffton until his retirement.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.

In addition to his wife, Truman is survived by a daughter, Sue (Tom) Neuenschwander of Bluffton; two sons, Kim (Sue) Yergler and Jeff (Peg) Yergler, both of Bluffton; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard (Lillian) Yergler and Claire (Mary Jane) Yergler, both of Bluffton.

Aside from his parents, Truman was preceded in death by a son, Dee Yergler, and a brother, Robert Yergler.

Visitation will be Monday, February 1, 2016, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  Services will be held Tuesday, at 10:30 AM, at the Apostolic Christian Church East, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.  John Reinhard and Mark Gerber will officiate.  Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
