Timothy N. Taylor, 66, of Ossian, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

Tim was born on Sept. 18, 1952, in Ft. Wayne, to Cecil W. and Marylou (Felts) Taylor.  His mother survives in Ft. Wayne.  He married Carol A. (McVay) Beltz in Allen County on Sept. 10, 1982; she survives.

A 1970 graduate of Norwell High School, Tim was a devoted Christian and member of the Ossian Church of the Nazarene.  He was the first one in and last one out, working at Johnson Controls in Ossian for 20 years.  He later retired from Bluffton Motor Works in 2014.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery with his best friend, Nathan Bates.  Many people in Ossian will remember him as he loved to walk his dog Archie, all around town.

In addition to his wife and mother, Tim is survived by a son, Jonathan (Ginger) Wyatt of Lebanon; a step-daughter, Tracy (Robie) Ring of Ossian; a step-son, Adam Beltz of Ossian; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jill (Ken) Parker of Ramona, CA, and Joni (Mark) Lee of Ft. Wayne.

Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Diane Taylor.

A memorial gathering will be Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, at the Ossian Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM at the church.
