Tim "Peabody" Powell, 59, of Keystone, passed away Sunday morning, March 22, 2015, at his residence. Born on May 20, 1955, in Bluffton, IN, to Ted and Roberta (Poffenberger) Powell, both parents preceded him in death. He married Pam Clark on June 9, 1979, in Clinton, MI; she survives. Tim attended Southern Wells High School and was the owner and operator of his family business, Powell & Powell Excavating. He was a member of the I.U.O.E. local union 103 for 40 years. He enjoyed his work and will be most remembered as a people person and his love for his grandchildren, along with his dog, Toby. He is survived by one son, Henry (Sara) Clark of Keystone; a daughter, Kasi (Clint) Chapman of Montpelier; three granddaughters, Dakota Clark, and Bristal and Hattie Chapman. He is also survived by three sisters, Kathy (Dan) Price of Ossian, Sandy Runyan of Niota, TN, and Cindy (Eric) Ledyard of Monon, IN; a brother, Blake (Mary) Powell of Montpelier; and his mother-in-law, Peggy Allen of Montpelier. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held Thursday, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Anita Rediger will officiate. Burial will be at Stahl Cemetery in Wells County. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
