Thomas A. Freiburger Jr., 52, of Ossian, died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Freiburger had been employed at Tuthill Pumps in Fort Wayne for 29 years, working as a supervisor. He was a 1979 graduate of Wayne High School in Fort Wayne. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in rural Yoder. He was born Dec. 12, 1960, in Bluffton, to Thomas A. Freiburger Sr. and R. Maxine Gephart Freiburger. He married Bethany S. Faulkner May 15, 1982; his wife survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Lindsay S. (Brandon) Bushee of Fort Wayne; a son, Mark T. (Joelle) Freiburger of Ossian; a grandson, Gunnar T. Bushee; a granddaughter, Cora N. Freiburger; and five sisters, Deb (Jay) Gerber and Jane (Blaine) Imel, both of Bluffton, Cindy (Ron) Todd and Janice (Brian) Scheumann, both of Ossian, and Cheryl (Tim) Lichtsinn of Uniondale. He was preceded in death by his parents and by an infant sister, Carol Freiburger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Calling will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the St. Aloysuius Catholic Church Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Steve Kelly Cancer Relief Foundation, to Masses, or to the family.
