Thomas R. "Tom" Case, 67, rural Bluffton, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 in Celina, Ohio. Born in Bluffton on Oct. 4, 1944 to Robert and Harriett (Johnson) Case, he was a businessman for more than 50 years, owning and operated Case Leasing & Rental, Inc. of Celina for more than 43 years with his father and brother. He was a 1962 graduate of Bluffton High School and a member of the former St. John's United Church of Christ. Mr. Case started with Blue Flame Transport and had also been employed with James Jackson Construction. Survivors include a daughter, Cheri (Tom) Kraska of Tipp City, Ohio; his fiance, Sharon Kingery of Celina, Ohio and her children, Michelle Kingery of Vandellia, Ohio, Melissa (Rob) Smalley of Celina, Ohio and Kylene (Kevin) Tobin of Celina, Ohio; a brother, Jerry (Jane) Case of Bluffton; three sisters, Barbara (Rodney) Bailey of Louisville, Ky., Candace (Eric) DeHaven and Marilyn (Galen) Weatherholt, both of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren; and Ms. Kingery's seven grandsons. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Bernard officiating. Calling hours there are Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Cheryl Ann School in Celina and the (Bluffton, IN) Wells County Food Bank.
