Teresa S. Smith, 57, of rural Ossian, passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 28, 2025, at her residence.

Teresa was born in Bluffton on Feb. 1, 1968, to Roger and Martha (Hauter) Grimm.  Both parents preceded her in death.  She married Matthew A. Smith in Craigville on May 25, 1991; he survives.

Teresa was a 1987 graduate of Southern Wells High School and stayed at home for many years to raise her three children.  She loved crafting thrifting, and watching NASCAR, and also going out and looking at farm animals.  Most of all, she enjoyed sitting outside and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Teresa is survived by a son, Andrew Smith of Ossian; two daughters, Ashly Smith (fiancé Caleb Blevins) of Fort Wayne, and Anna Smith (fiancé Lane Wright) of Warren; along with four grandchildren, Karlee Smith, Aiden Smith, Landon Jessup, and Paisley Blevins.

A celebration of life will be held at Teresa and Matt's home, at 3392 E. 1200 N, Ossian, IN 46777, on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, from 1:00 until 4:00 PM.

Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
