Sylvan "Sib" Ringger, 94, of Bluffton, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at Christian Care Retirement Community. He was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Adams County to George Ringger Sr. and Leah Steffen Ringger. He married Violet "Vi" Aeschliman May 9, 1943, in Bluffton; she survives. He owned Isch Gas for more than 44 years and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include two sons, Sam (Becky) Ringger of Bluffton and Steve (Myra) Ringger of Bluffton; two daughters, Carol (Dennis) Klopfenstein of Bluffton and Lela (Greg) Leman of Waco, Texas; siblings, William (Marjorie) Ringger, George (Evelyn) Ringger, Alvin "Al" (Coleen) Ringger, Mary Frauhiger, Ida Aschliman, and Lillian (Richard) Yergler, all of Bluffton; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Raymond, Orville, Reuben and Arthur. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 13, at the Bluffton North Apostolic Christian Church. Calling hours are from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gateway Woods or Christian Care Retirement Community.
