Susan "Susie" K. Bushee, 69, of Ossian, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 10, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Susie was born in Bluffton on Nov. 16, 1953, to Robert "Bob" L. and Joyce A. (Felts) Gilliom.  She married Kevin R. Bushee in Uniondale on Nov. 7, 1975; he survives.

A 1972 graduate of Norwell High School, Susie was a cook at Lancaster Elementary School for almost 30 years.  Susie loved attending her grandchildren's various activities and she also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Susie is survived by her mother, Joyce Gilliom of Ossian; two sons, Brandon (Lindsay) Bushee and Chad (Mindy) Bushee, both of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Gunnar and Gage Bushee, and Payton, Alex, Gibson, and Marley Bushee; and three sisters, Jill (Randy) Schriver of Albion, Cindy (Mike) Uptgraft of Bluffton, and Pam (Jody) Day of Uniondale.

Susie was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bob" Gilliom.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, from 3:00 until 6:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed immediately by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.  Pastor Mike Gilbert will be officiating.
