Obituary
She was born Feb. 14, 1913, in Wells County to John W. Wells and Mollie Nutter Wells. She married Reinhard F. Benzinger in Bluffton Dec. 17, 1969; he preceded her in death Sept. 25, 1995.
Stella graduated from Petroleum High School in 1930 and she attended the Six Mile Church in Bluffton. She retired in 1975 after 33 years of service at General Electric in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, John and Milo Wells; and four sisters, Amy Davis, Esther Wright, Lala Tarr and Alvertta Wells, an infant.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marlene Ellis officiating.
Calling hours are from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.
Memorials may be made to the Wells County Food Bank.
