Born of John and Barbara Schwartz in Berne, IN, Solomon was always involved with his community. Being a contractor he built the Police, Fire Department Buildings and the Masonic Lodge in Bluffton. Also he built the post offices in Howe, Flora and Bunkerhill, IN. Solomon attended Evangelical Mennonite Church and being a committee member of the Miracle Youth Camp and helping to sponsor Jr. League Baseball and Bowling League thought children were an important part of life.
