Shirley J. Miller Reeves, 68, of Marion and formerly of Bluffton, died at 8:42 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Marion General Hospital. Mrs. Reeves was born in Piper City, Ill. on Jan. 8. 1942, to Charles Wayne and A. Margaret (Johnson) Williams. She married Jesse Reeves in Illinois in December 2002; he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2010. A 1960 graduate of Chester Center High School, Mrs. Reeves worked at Franklin Electric for 20 years. She was active in quilting, sewing, painting and gardening. She enjoyed reading and interacting with her facebook. She was a 4-H leader for years, and a member of Unity Christian Church. Surviving relatives include two sons, Mike (Margaret) Miller of Markle and Mark Miller of Reifsburg; two daughters, Laura (Russell) Iidea of Bluffton and Diana (Ben) Stetzel of Roanoke; three step children, Jenny (Jim) Justus of Simpsonville S.C., Abby (Mark) Mortier of Fishers and Mike (Rita) Reeves of Greenwood; two sisters, Doris (Tino) Martinez of Lynnwood, Calif. and Mary Kizer of Bluffton; one brother, Richard (Kay) Williams of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her first husband, Kerry Miller of Bluffton. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.
