Sherri L. Longenberger, 49, of Bluffton, passed away at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at her residence. Born in Adams County on Oct. 11, 1963, she was the daughter of Doyle and Jane Frauhiger of Bluffton and the late Bonnie L. (Baumgartner) Frauhiger, who passed away July 31, 1964. She married Mark A. Longenberger in Bluffton on June 7, 1981; he survives. A 1982 graduate of Norwell High School, she was a partner in Wells County Land Title Company in Bluffton for 17 years. She attended Abundant Life Christian Center in Bluffton. Sherri fought a courageous nine-year battle with cancer. Other survivors include two daughters, Tara Longenberger (companion, Nick Langel) and Danielle Gehring (companion, Shawn King), both of Bluffton; three sisters, Joan (Keith) Gudeman, Lavonia, Mich., Jill (Greg) Thornton, Bluffton and Julie (Dean) Tonner, Bluffton; a brother, Grant (Maura) Frauhiger, Bluffton; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Betty Longenberger, of Bluffton; her grandfather, Ted Kaehr, Bluffton; a granddaughter, Addison Gehring, of Bluffton; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Apostolic Christian Church East with John Reinhard and Mark Gerber officiating. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, and Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
