Ruth H. Reinhard, 79, of Bluffton, passed away Feb. 22, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Ruth was born Feb. 3, 1936, in Fort Wayne to Herbert W. Stoller and Leah Laukhuf Stoller, the youngest of eight children. She made a confession of her faith and was baptized Nov. 25, 1951, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Latty, Ohio. Exactly five years later she married James P. Reinhard Nov. 25, 1956, at the same church; he survives. Ruth graduated from Paulding High School in 1953. She moved to Wells County with her husband in 1959, where she resided for more than 55 years. While her children were growing up, she owned and operated her own bakery, Countryside Fancy Pastries, near Petroleum. In 1979 she graduated from Taylor University and then worked for the Department of Public Welfare in Adams and Wells counties for more than 13 years and at Gateway Woods near Leo for four years. After being retired for a year, she worked part-time for seven years at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in the medical transcription department. She was a devoted Christ-follower who will always be loved and remembered for her good cooking, hospitality, generosity and wisdom. Survivors include three sons, Ed Reinhard of Poneto, Herb (Martha) Reinhard of Bluffton, and Tom (Sandy) Reinhard of Bluffton; two daughters, Lou Ann Reinhard of Poneto and Polly (Phil) Beer of Craigville; nine grandchildren, Austin, Shaina, and Jami Beer, Karissa Beer Sprinkle, David, Jenna, Jerry, Stoller and Hattie Reinhard; and a sister, Velma Williams of Bluffton. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Uz Reinhard; a sister, Pauline Wieland of Paulding, Ohio; and five brothers, Nelson, Justus, Willis, Ernest, and Edwin Stoller. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Apostolic Christian Church East with John Reinhard and Ron Kipfer officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Bluffton. Calling hours are from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
