Ruth E. Reed, 67, of Bluffton, passed away Friday evening, Feb. 19, 2021.

Ruth was born in Bluffton on June 12, 1953, to Lewis and Grace (Richard) Bricker.  She married Harold O. Reed in Fort Wayne on June 6, 1983; he survives.

Ruth was a homemaker and loved fishing, cooking, and swimming.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Reed (fiancé Josh Faor) of New Haven, and Alina (Timothy) Bryan of Bluffton; two sons, William (Katie) Reed of Payne, OH, and David Chunko of Bluffton; five grandchildren, Malachi, Eliza, and Brooklyn Bryan, and Madilynn and Hunter Reed; two sisters, Susie (Steve) Magner of New Haven, and Barbra (Raphael) Helton of Fort Wayne; and a half-sister, Sheila (Ed) Willing of Fort Wayne.

Aside from her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Eddie Bricker.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Mar. 20, 2021, from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed immediately by a memorial service at 3:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Terry Myers.

Visitors are required to wear masks during the visitation and funeral service at the funeral home. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we currently are only allowed a certain number of visitors in the funeral home at one time.

Memorial donations may be made to the family, payable directly to the funeral home.
