Ruth Ann Haneline, 76, of Bluffton, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 27, 2015, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ossian. Born on January 12, 1939, in Wells County, to Robert E. and Mary E. (Ramsey) Green, she married James K. "Jim" Haneline on July 30, 1960, in Montpelier, IN; he preceded her in death on April 1, 2002. Ruth was a graduate of Lancaster High School and a member of Sonlight Wesleyan Church in Bluffton. She worked at Caylor Nickel Clinic for 16 years as a nurse's aide and later worked for the Wells County Council on Aging until her retirement. She was an avid Indiana Basketball fan and especially enjoyed attending Norwell athletic events with her family. She will also be remembered for her love of animals, especially her cat, Cinnamon. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Rick) Springer of Murray and Chris (Jeff) Stiltner of Ft. Wayne; one granddaughter, Kristy Springer of Ossian; and a sister, Evelyn Gaiser of Florida. Aside from her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters, Marge Grothaus and Sue Maddox; three brothers, George, Robert, and Roger Green; along with three infant siblings. Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2015, from 3 - 7 PM at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be Saturday, at 10:30 AM, at the Sonlight Wesleyan Church in Bluffton, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church, with Pastor Lyle Breeding officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian. In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests that contributions be made to Norwell Athletics, Sonlight Wesleyan Church, or the Alzheimer's Association.
