Ruth Ann Borne, 75, passed away Sunday evening, March 5, 2023, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, following a short illness.

Ruth was born in Waterloo, IN. on July 12, 1947, to Oliver F. and Violet V. (Brinneman) Blumenhorst, both parents preceded her in death. She married George E. Borne on June 29, 1968, in Plum Tree, IN. He survives in Bluffton.

Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Ruth graduated from Salomonie Township High School class of 1966. She was involved with Camp Mack, helped with Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, and was a member of Adams and Wells County Home Economics Club. She was also a member of the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren in Decatur, IN.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by two children; Veora Borne of Bluffton and Fred Borne-Dumont of Las Vegas, NV.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed immediately by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jay Carter will officiate. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery, Decatur, IN.
