Rosemary Hegerfeld, 81, of Roanoke, passed away Friday evening, May 12, 2023, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Rosemary was born in Bluffton on May 8, 1942, to Henry and Ada (Heyerly) Gerber. She married Edwin E. Hegerfeld in Bluffton on Jan. 28, 1968. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 2008.

Rosemary graduated from Bluffton High School in 1960. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Clark Hegerfeld of Roanoke; a daughter, Crystal Lake (fiancé Eugene Roberts) of Bluffton; four sisters, Gladys Gerber, Virginia Gerber, Martha (Rex) Gentis, and Marcella Dillman, all of Bluffton; along with three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemary was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Gerber, and a sister, Susan "Sue" Kipfer.

Private family graveside services are being held at Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County with Doyle Frauhiger officiating. Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
