Rose Mae Walters, 103, formerly of Bluffton, passed away Monday morning, July 18, 2016, at Indian River Center in Melbourne, FL.

Born in Ellsinore, Missouri, on Feb. 17, 1913, to Henry and Ella (Leach) Robertson, she married Omer Walters in Gary, IN, on Sept. 30, 1939; he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1961.

Rose worked at Sears, Roebuck & company for 28 years, retiring in 1978.  She was a member of Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Widmoyer of Melbourne, FL, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a brother, James Robertson, and three sisters, Thelma Brueckheimer, Ann Schuburt, and Mollie Webb.

A memorial service to celebrate Rose's life has been held at the Indian River Center in Melbourne, FL, and burial will take place at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.  Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
