Rose A. Lautzenheiser, 86, of Bluffton, died at 7:05 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at River Terrace Estates. Mrs. Lautzenheiser was born on June 17, 1925, in Bluffton, to Lee and Lucille (Knoke) Wahman. She married William N. Lautzenheiser on Nov. 25, 1946, in Bluffton; he preceded her in death on April 7, 2006. A 1943 graduate of Bluffton High School, Mrs. Lautzenheiser was also a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse, and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Surviving relatives include one son, Michael (Deb) Lautzenheiser of Bluffton; one daughter, Jane (Jerry) Case of Bluffton; seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Lautzenheiser was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Joseph Wahman; one sister, Donnajean Wahman; and one grandson. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A Mass of Celebration will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at the church with Fr. Stephen Colchin officiating. Burial is at Fairview Cemetery, in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the church.
