Roger R. Isch, 96, of Bluffton, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at Christian Care Retirement Community.

He was born Feb. 24, 1920, in Bluffton to John and Katie Steffen Isch. He married Violet J. Gilliom July 21, 1941, in Bluffton; she preceded him in death Sept. 12, 2003.

He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Bluffton, IN  Roger started the Blue Flame Gas Company and was
president until selling in the late 1970's.  He also owned and operated the Isch Hardware Store in Ossian, IN.

Survivors include daughters, Phyllis (Nile) Bucher of Bluffton and Jill (Steve) Roth of Scottsdale, Az.; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Isch, and a sister, Helen Gerber.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Bluffton North Apostolic Church, with Mark Gerber and Steve Frauhiger officiating. Calling hours are from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at the Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Burial will take place in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
