Rodney Jack Russell, 54, of Bluffton, passed away quietly with his family and friends by his side Saturday evening, Sept. 22, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born April 17, 1958, in Bluffton, to Arthur Jack Russell and Juanita P. (Brown) Russell. He worked as Supervisor Product Development at Master Spas in Fort Wayne for 25 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 111 Son's of the Legion. Surviving relatives include his mother, of Bluffton; two daughters, Jen (Jacob) Inskeep of Bluffton and Nicky (Aaron) Lenwell of Markle; one sister, Sue (Tom) Arnold of Shelbyville; one brother, Randy "Joe" (Crystal) Russell of Ossian; and four grandchildren, Madison and Elias Inskeep and Alyssa and Jason Lenwell. He played a special role as an adoptive grandfather to Kiara and Alicia Vahena. He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Steven "Fuzzy" Russell, who died Dec. 25, 2001. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeraql home, with Pastor Chad Clark officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
