Robert K. "Bob" Wilson, 81, of rural Ossian, passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 27, 2015, at his residence.

Born on Aug. 20, 1934, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Harold Earnest and Clara Iva (Woods) Wilson; Bob married AlDica A. Cady in Fort Wayne on Nov. 27, 1954; she survives.

Bob had two passions in life, his family and sports.  Bob was a 1954 graduate of Elmhurst High, where he held several school sporting records.  He could always be found at ball fields or gyms watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, encouraging them to be the best they could possibly be.

In addition to his wife of 61 years, Bob is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Ron) Ross of Mohamet, IL and Lori (Joe) Vining of Roanoke; five sons, Robert (Sherri) Wilson Jr. of Yoder, Jim (Debbie) Wilson of Ossian, Mark (Devonna) Wilson of Ossian, David (Cynthia) Wilson of Yoder, and Scott (Cheryl) Wilson of Ft. Wayne; 32 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

Aside from his parents, Bob was preceded in death by nine siblings, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 2:00 until 7:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel.  A funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held Thursday, at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Services of NE Indiana or University of St. Francis Women's Basketball Program.
