Richard "Dick" Troxel, age 72, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday evening, May 13, 2018, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Dick was born in Bluffton on March 11, 1946, to Ralph W. and Elsie (Frautschi) Troxel.  He married Patricia "Patti" Wood in Zanesville on Nov. 19, 1966; she survives.

Dick graduated from Lancaster Central High School in 1964 and then graduated from Raedel College in 1967 with an associate degree in mechanical drafting and design.  He and his brother Dave farmed together for 30 years and co-owned and operated Troxel Equipment Company.  He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.

His faith, family, Troxel Equipment employees, and the Rock Steady Boxing Club for Parkinson's disease were the most important things to Dick.  Most of all, he enjoyed his family.  He also enjoyed sports of all kinds and boating.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by a daughter, Terri Ehle of Bluffton; a son, Winter (Corrie) Troxel of Darnestown, MD; four grandchildren, Jacob and Gabriel Ehle, and Braxton and Camden Troxel; two brothers, Robert (Mary Jo) Troxel and Dave (Kris) Troxel, both of Bluffton; and two sisters, Mary Jo (Sam) Gerber of Bluffton, and Connie (Paul) Vidrine of Kennewick, WA.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, and on Friday, from noon until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  Services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10:00 AM, at the Bluffton North Apostolic Christian Church, with Doyle Frauhiger and Mark Gerber officiating.  Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bluffton Rock Steady Boxing Fund (c/o the Wells County Foundation) or Apostolic Christian Church Charity Fund.
