Ray E. Beahrs, age 71, of Ossian, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 14, 2017.

Born in Allen County, IN, on Nov. 4, 1945, to Clifford and Dorothy (Lhamon) Beahrs, Ray married Johanna Ladig in Bluffton on Jan. 19, 2012; she survives.

Ray retired from International Harvester (later called Navistar) after 30 years of service.  He then went to work for TI Automotive in Ossian, retiring in 2010.  Ray served his country as a member of the National Guard.

In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by two daughters, Lori (Dan) Freund of Van Wert, OH, and Sarah Oliver (Dustin Ruch) of Ossian; a son, Ronald Monnot of Ossian; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Steve (Jenny) Beahrs of South Carolina, Charles (Jan) Beahrs of St. Louis, MO, Mike (Susan) Beahrs of Phoenix, AZ, and Tom (Jane) Beahrs of Rockford, OH; and two sisters, Sue (Art) Mankey of Van Wert, OH, and Nancy (Gilbert) Rosalaz of Antwerp, OH.

Aside from his parents, Ray was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and David Beahrs.

Per Ray's request, there are no services planned.  Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
