Rama Jean Bays's Obituary

Rama Jean Bays, 70, of Eaton, Ohio, died at 12:59 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Hospice of Dayton, Ohio. She was a former Bluffton resident and was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a housewife. Mrs. Bays was born May 10, 1943, in West Virginia, to Henry Howard and Vada King Howard. She married Robert L. Bays in August of 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio; her husband preceded her in death June 14, 2013. Survivors include two daughters, Holly Lawhorn of Cincinnati and Lana (Wayne) Rice of West Alexandria, Ohio; a son, Jeffery (Lisa) Bays of Bluffton; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Earlene (Clarence) Laudermilk of Kentucky and Madelene Hernandez of California; and a brother, Morris (Connie) Howard of Blanchester, Ohio. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stephen Bays; two sisters, Parthene Hunley and Josephene Bowman; and two brothers, Henry Howard and Lloyd Howard. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind. 124, Bluffton, with Pastor Adam Carroll officiating. Burial will be at the Six Mile Cemetery.
