Ralph H. Sallach, 80, Bluffton, died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, in the emergency room of the Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Mr. Sallach was a retired pharmacist with the Rite Aid Corp. and with the Kennedy Rexall Drug Store in Bluffton, retiring in 1995 after 50 years' service. He was a 1947 of Concordia High School in Fort Wayne and graduated from Purdue University in 1953. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Bluffton and was a longtime member of the Lions Club in Bluffton. His hobbies included stamp collecting and coin collecting. He was born April 27, 1929 in Fort Wayne, to Rudulph Sallach and Hattie H. Mueller Sallach. He was the last of his family. He married Denise Taylor in March of 2003; his wife survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Lindh of Indianapolis, Lori (Jerry) Leach of Dunkirk, and Wendy Riehle of Convoy, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Danielle and Alec. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Kinney officiating. Private graveside services will follow at a later date at the Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the Bluffton Lions Club.
