IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul "Bill"
Triplett
January 2, 1943 – December 20, 2025
Paul William "Bill" Triplett, 82, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday morning, December 20, 2025, at Christian Care Retirement Community.
Bill was born in Chicago, IL, on January 2, 1943, to Paul and Tylena (Van Buren) Triplett. He married Marilynn R. Mershnik in Milwaukee, WI, on October 14, 1972; she survives.
Bill graduated from West Allis Central High School in Wisconsin in 1960 and later received his bachelor's degree in English literature from Louisiana State University, where he was also a member of the baseball team. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969.
After his service in the Army, Bill joined the family real estate company, Triplett Realty, as a real estate broker in Wisconsin, which he co-owned and operated with Marilynn and other family members. He later spent the rest of his career working as a nursing home administrator in various states, including Ohio, North Carolina, Washington, and Indiana, until retiring after 30 years of service.
Due to the fact that Bill and Marilynn moved their family several times, they belonged to several different churches over the years. Most recently, he and Marilynn had been attending Berne Evangelical Church in Berne. Bill had many hobbies, with two of his favorites being fishing and playing tennis with Marilynn, which they did for many years together.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by a son, Gary Triplett of Marion, IA; a daughter, Paula (Joshua) Rang of Westfield; two grandchildren, Hollis and Jillian Rang; a brother, Bruce Triplett of Wisconsin; along with several nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Marcia Jean Triplett.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Goodwin – Harnish Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions in memory of Bill may be made to Christian Care Retirement Community and may be mailed directly to Goodwin – Harnish Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3220 East State Road 124 Bluffton, IN 46714.
