Paul A. Glancy Sr., 71, of Bluffton, died at 1:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Glancy was born in Greenup, Ky., on Aug. 24, 1937, to Mabel Callahan. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as manager of Denny's Restaurant in Dallas, Texas. Survivors include three sons, Paul A. (Maria) Glancy of Adams, Wis., Wendell L. Glancy of Immokalet, Fla., and Harold A. (Christine) Glancy of Bluffton; two daughters, Tammy (Dennis) Workman of Ashland, Ky., and Bridgette (Edward) Burlew of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Matt Hartsel officiating. Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date. Preferred memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.
