Obituary

Opal May Tucker, 80, of Bluffton, died at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Born in Liberty Township on Oct. 13, 1932, to Leonard Barr and Maude E. Michael Barr, she married Daniel K. Tucker Feb. 4, 1950, in Bluffton. Her husband died July 13, 1966. She was a graduate of Chester Center High School and formerly lived in Poneto. She worked for Franklin Electric for 31 years, retiring in 1991, and was a member of the FE Quarter Century Club and the Chapel Grove Church. Survivors include a son, Keith A. (Cathy) Tucker of Poneto; two daughters, Carol (Michael) Herring of Keystone and Dana (David) Boxell of Warren; a sister, Ninetta (Maurice) Moser of Berne; and 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel with Daniel Herring officiating. Calling hours are 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the Chapel Grove Building Fund or Youth for Christ.
