Mildred L. Gilbert, 91, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.

She was born on October 20, 1927 in Huntington County, to Grover and Edna (Rennaker) Poulson, they both preceded her in death. Mildred married Paul "Duane" Gilbert on September 22, 1945 in Liberty Center, he preceded her in death on October 26, 1997.

Mildred was a homemaker and worked at Old First National Bank in Bluffton, in addition, she worked at First National Bank in Huntington. She was a former member of Markle Church of Christ for many years, after moving to Heritage Pointe in Warren, she attended Warren Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Leon (Nanci) Gilbert of Ft. Wayne; a daughter, Mona McCauley of Roanoke; sister in law, Joy Gilbert of Markle; three brothers, James Poulson of Warren, Robert Poulson of Liberty Center,  and Dan Poulson of Warren; a sister, Ruth Brooks of Warren. Six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son Darwin Kay Gilbert in 2011;  three sisters, Margaret Knight and Freda Finley and Lois Eltzroth; four brothers, Harold Poulson and William Poulson, Everet Poulson and Ralph Poulson.

A graveside service will be held at St. Paul Cemetery on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 4:00 PM with Chaplin Gerald Moreland officiating. Memorials may be given to the Warren Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
