Mildred I. Campbell, 87, a resident of Wells County, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Frankfort, Ind. She was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Wells County, to Ernest McFarren and Della Harris McFarren. She married Walter "Bud" Campbell Jan. 19, 1946, in Warren, Ind. Her husband passed away Sept. 16, 2003. She was a homemaker and was a member of the former Trinity Bible Methodist Church of Tocsin. Surviving are three sons, Dennis R. (Dianne) Campbell of Frankfort, Robert E. (Connie) Campbell and Ronald W. (Carol) Campbell, both of Liberty Center; two daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Gephart of Bluffton and Donna Helms of Ossian; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Correll of Peru, Ind. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Terry Thompson; a great-granddaughter, Charity Peck; two brothers, Harold McFarren and Charles McFarren; and two sisters, Bonnie Thompson and Pauline McFarren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at the Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind. 124, Bluffton, with Rev. Rod Correll and Rev. Mark Mowery officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will take place at the McFarren Cemetery in rural Liberty Center. Memorial gifts can be made to the Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Frankfort in care of the funeral home.
