Michael T. McCormick, 61, of Bluffton, passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan. 17, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

Born in Bluffton on July 20, 1955, to Herbert and Donna (Numbers) McCormick, Michael married Carmen Quinones in Huntington on July 19, 1980; she survives.

Michael graduated from Bluffton High School in 1973 and attended Life Community Church. He had worked as a dispatcher for National Oil and Gas in Bluffton for 17 years.

He was a dedicated worker, and a gifted drummer who passionately served in worship. He loved spending time with his wife, his children, and his ten grandchildren, but most of all, he loved the Lord.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by two daughters, Ashley (Brandon) Kauffman of Bluffton and Stephanie McCormick of Chicago, IL; two sons, Christopher (Jenny) McCormick of Ft. Wayne and Aaron (Jill) McCormick of Bluffton; ten grandchildren, Addison, Maddox, Camden, and Saylor Kauffman, and Grace, Josh, Ivy, Israel, Abel, and August McCormick; and two sisters, Melody (Alan) Schwieger of St. Clair, MI, and Michelle (Jerry) Schmaltz of Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held on Friday, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Steve Surbaugh will officiate. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
