Michael "Mick" Boyle, 80, of Bluffton, passed away at 11:34 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at his home.
He was born March 13, 1935, to Mark F. and Katherine (Harger) Boyle in Huntington. He married Mona Jean Wilson Nov. 30, 1956, in Bluffton; she preceded him in death May 25, 2007.
Mick attended Bluffton High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. He worked as a truck driver for International Paper, formerly Wabash Fiber. He was a member of American Legion Post 111.
He is survived by three sons, M. Drew (Erin) Boyle fo Ossian, Glen (Carol) P. Boyle of New Albany, and Trent H. Boyle of Bluffton; a sister, Jean Ann Norwood of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Kyle McCutcheon, Shelby Boyle, and Megan Boyle.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark D. Boyle; a daughter, Patricia Ann Boyle; and a brother, James P. Boyle.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, with Dennis Wood officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Thursday.
A graveside service at Elm Grove Cemetery will be held at a later date by the U.S. Army and American Legion Post 111.
