Merl A. Williams, 98, of Bluffton, passed away Tuesday, June 28, at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton. Born in Wells County on April 23, 1913, to Alfred and Violet (Alberson) Williams, he married Margaret Shady on February 11, 1933 in Wells County, she survives. Merl worked at Central Soya in Decatur for 43 years. Surviving relatives also include two daughters, Carolyn (Les) Meyer of Bluffton and Marcia (Joe) Watkins of Fort Wayne; two sons, Dean (Lois) Williams of Coldwater, MI, and Kevin (Lori) Williams of Fort Wayne; along with 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. He is the last of his family. Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, from 2 to 8 P.M. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel and Friday, one hour prior to the service. A funeral service will be held Friday, at 10:30 A.M., at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, 3220 East State Road 124, Bluffton, IN. Preferred memorials are Family Hospice and Palliative Care.
