Melda E. Monticue, 93, passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 21, 2019, at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton.

Melda was born in Wells County, IN on January 6, 1926 to Ross and Grace (Milholland) Niblick, her parents preceded her in death. She married Gene D. Monticue on October 5, 1946 in Huntertown, IN, he preceded her in death on November 13, 1998.

She worked as a bookkeeper for 46 years at Erie Stone in Bluffton, she retired in April 1991.  Melda was a lifelong member of the Lancaster Chapel United Methodist Church in Wells Co, and a member of Lancaster Neighbors Club. She was an organist at Lancaster Chapel United Methodist Church for many years.

She is survived by her son; Mike (Marilyn) Monticue of Bluffton, 1 grandson; Brandon (Shelley) Monticue of Markle, IN and a Grt. granddaughter; Angelica Adam of Markle, IN.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Dwight "Steve" Niblick and Robert Niblick, and a Grt .Granddaughter; Michaela Adam.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26,2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Mark Dauterman will officiate.

Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.
