Maxine M. Robbins, 89, of Bluffton, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Maxine was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Wells County to Harry and Anna Bossart Franklin. She married Joseph A. Robbins in Bluffton in 1946. She worked at the Cupboard grill in the Dutch Mill restaurant for 25 years. Survivors include three daughters, Rose A. Thompson of Bluffton, Sandy (Mike) Campbell of Welston, Mich., and Carolyn Robbins of Bluffton; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Robbins of Bluffton; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard J. Robbins, and a sister, Isabell Smeltzer. There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
