Max E. Mygrant, 87, of Bluffton, passed away Wednesday evening, Feb. 17, 2016, at Signature Healthcare in Bluffton.

Born in Bluffton, IN, on July 25, 1928, to Dallas and Esther (Smith) Mygrant; his parents preceded him in death.

Max graduated from Bluffton High School and served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952.  He was a lifetime truck driver until his retirement.

Max is survived by a son, Michael (Joy) Mygrant of Bluffton; two granddaughters, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Louise Henry of Hillsdale, MI, and Helen J. Foreman of Bluffton; and two brothers, Lewis J. (Barbara) Mygrant and Glen W. (Georgianna) Mygrant, both of Bluffton.

In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by a great-grandson, and a brother, Ralph Frederick Mygrant.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Marlene Ellis officiating.

Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton, with military graveside rites provided by the American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton in conjunction with the US Army Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton.
