Max C. Gephart Sr., 75, of Bluffton, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Gephart was born May 12, 1937, in Wells County, to David and Loma (Gustin) Gephart. He married Bonnie S. (Salyers) Gephart in Kentucky Sept. 24, 1966; she preceded him in death Feb. 21, 2000. Surviving relatives include two sons, Max C. Gephart Jr., of Bluffton and Ollie James (Tiffany) Gephart of Bluffton; five brothers, Donald E. (Berniece) Gephart of Ossian, Glen E. (Maxine) Gephart of Howell, Jake L. (Joyce) Gephart of Gas City, Dean R. (Carolyn) Gephart of Leesburg, and Kay A. (Nina) Gephart of Montpelier; three sisters, Helen I. Gephart of Bluffton, Ethel M. King of Gas City, and Martha A. (Donald) Weaver of Montpelier. Mr. Gephart was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe D., Ralph W., and Carl L. Gephart. Calling hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. James Poling officiating. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the family.
