Matthew Robert Leman, 41, of Lynbrook, N.Y., died at 12:47 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Mount Sinai Hospital, Manhattan, New York. Mr. Leman was born in Bluffton on Aug. 27, 1969, He married Phyllis Tocci in Lynbrook, N.Y., on Aug. 20, 2008; she survives. A 1987 graduate of Norwell High School, Mr. Leman worked as I.T. Director for NOITU in Jamaica, N.Y. for seven years. Surviving relatives are three sons, Spencer Meeks of Monroeville, and Logan Leman and Keegan Leman, both of Fort Wayne; two step daughters, Brianna Barbieri of Waco, Texas, and Alexa Rae Barbieri of Lynbrook, N.Y.; four sisters, Cindy (Brett) Shorb of Bluffton, Rhonda (Ed) Maller of Bluffton, Kari (Laura) Rogan of Westminster, Md. and Sheryl (Dave) Moser of Bluffton; four brothers, Dr. Gregory (Lela) Leman of Waco, Texas, Jeffrey (Val) Leman of Craigville, Ronald (Kathy) Leman of Bluffton and Jonathan (Tammy) Leman of Kennewick, Wash.; and 35 nephews and nieces whom Matt loved very much. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the Markle Church of Christ, 455 E. Morse St., Markle, with Gerald Moreland officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
