Obituary

Mary W. "Neta" Niemann, 46, of Bluffton, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on Sept. 23, 1965, in Bluffton, to Max E. Perry and Mary Jean (Thompson) Perry. She married Carlton H. "Jody" Niemann on March 27, 2008, in Poneto; he survives. A 1983 graduate of Bluffton High School, Mrs. Niemann was a homemaker. She was a member of the New Beginning Church of Poneto and played the organ at church . Other surviving relatives include her father, of Bluffton; two daughters, Sara (Chad) McCune and Sydney Steele, both of Poneto; three step sons, Brad A. Niemann of Huntington, Cory N. Niemann of Huntington and Adam R. Demmick of South Whitley; two sisters, Tammy J. Spaulding of Fort Wayne and Angie (Kim) Doane of Bluffton; a step mother, Mary Ellen (Martin) Perry; two stepbrothers, Marty (Tina) Stout and Jed (Amber) Garrison, both of Bluffton; one stepsister, Charlotte (Dave) Sawyer of Pennville; and three grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt and Lane McCune, all of Poneto. She was preceded in death by her mother and a son, David Steele, who died in 1987. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Sutton officiating. Burial is at Six Mile Cemetery, in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the New Beginning Church..
