Mary Ann Frus, 78, of Bluffton, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 1, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born on Sept. 25, 1938, in Liberty Mills, IN, to James and Aldean (Von Lens) Roberts, Mary Ann was later adopted by Verne and Blanche (Dailey) Wise.
A 1957 graduate of Burlington High School, Mary Ann went to work at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette and Duke's Memorial Hospital in Peru. She then relocated to Wells County in 1967 where she worked at ARA Vending at Franklin Electric, Skiles Company, and then retiring from Bluffton Rubber Company in 2007.
Mary Ann was a member of Six Mile Church, where she had played the piano for several years. She was also a member of the Grover Sheets American Legion Post 111 Auxiliary and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Bluffton. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, playing bingo, and eating out at local restaurants.
Survivors include three daughters, Tina Frus of North Port, FL, Shawn (Bobby) Carroll of Lafayette, and Dee Ann (Shawn) Perry of Bluffton; three grandchildren, Candy (Jorge) Narvaez, Lacey (Stephen) Pastore, and Ashton Perry; two great-grandchildren, Nick Pastore and Maddy Narvaez; a sister, Ruth (Steve) Barnard of Burlington; and a brother, James Roberts of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, from 9 AM until 3 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held immediately following visitation at the funeral home at 3 PM with Rev. Brenda Haddix officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Friends Who Care Cancer Relief Foundation or Friends of the Shelter.
