Mary E. DeWitt, 89, a former resident of Bluffton, died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010,at the Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. DeWitt was born June 6, 1920, in Harlan County, KY to James Saylor and Lithey Allen Saylor Sharp. She married Alpha A. DeWitt March 13, 1956, in Winchester. Her husband died June 30, 2007. Survivors include two daughters, Lillie Mae Holley of Bluffton and Edna Quedding of Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by a son, Oscar Saylor; a daughter, Fannie Calahan; and two brothers, Jeff Saylor and Bill Saylor. Calling will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind. 124, Bluffton. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at the Six Mile Cemetery.
