Mary P. Biddle, 87, of Bluffton, died at 3:10 p.m., Tuesday, March1 24, 2009, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Biddle was born in Wells County on Oct. 11, 1921 to Henry and Lucy (Jones) Meyer. She married Bernarr E. Biddle in Crown Point on April 26, 1941; he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1974. Mrs. Biddle worked in the Wells County Treasurer's Office as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Ossian Methodist Church. Surviving relatives include one son, Thomas M. (Pamela) Biddle of Wolcottville; one daughter, Jolene J. (Dave) Heyerly of Decatur; one sister, Mae Strahm of Bluffton; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Biddle was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton with Dr. Robert Brink officiating. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial is at Oak Lawn Cemetery, in Ossian. Preferred memorials are to the Salvation Army or Meadowvale Health and Rehabilitation.
