Martha M. Flowers, 89, Bluffton, passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2014, at her residence. She was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Wells County to Marion R. and Edith E. Johnson Raber. She married Henry Wayne Flowers March 19, 1946, in Hartford City; he preceded her in death Oct. 27, 2004. She retired from OK Modern Cleaners in Bluffton and worked part-time for Ellenberger Auctioneers in Bluffton. Martha loved playing bingo, going to the casino at Anderson's Hoosier Park, growing roses, baking, cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Thomas) Claussen of Deltona, Fla.; two granddaughters, Carlotta C. (Bradley) Penrod of Bluffton, and Kara M. Cupp of Bluffton; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughters. She was the last of her family. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel with Larry Sprinkle officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Family LifeCare of Berne.
