Mark R. Moser, 60, a resident of rural Decatur, died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Moser worked for 30 years as an agent for National Oil and Gas in Bluffton. He was a farmer and also did dairy farming. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Moser was a 1968 graduate of Lancaster High School and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. He was born Aug. 20, 1949, in Wells County, to Russell E. Moser and Dorothy Aschliman Moser. He married Wanda L. Fiechter Jan. 3, 1971, in Bluffton; his wife survives. Also surviving are his mother, in Bluffton; two sons, Jeff (Gretchen) Moser of Eureka, Ill., and Lane (Tara) Moser of Bluffton; three daughters, La Nae (Ron) Macklin of Decatur and Jami (Chad) Gerber and Jacki (Brady) Ripple, both of Bluffton; 14 grandchildren; and two sisters, Sue (Steve) Baller of Bluffton and Kay (Keith) Gerber of Craigville. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel. There will be additional calling from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Apostolic Christian Church East of Bluffton. Services will be held at the church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Ron Kipfer and Mark Gerber officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Christian Care Retirement Community or to Family Hospice and Palliative Care.
