Mark A. Kaehr, age 57, of Bluffton, passed away Wednesday morning, January 9th, 2013, at 4:05 a.m., at Mayo Hospital, in Jacksonville, FL, while awaiting a heart transplant. Mark was born in Wells County, on June 20, 1955, to Phillip G. and Gloria S. (Timmons) Kaehr. His mother still survives in Bluffton. He married Renee A. Bebout on November 12, 1977, in Bluffton; she survives. A 1973 graduate of Adams Central High School, Mark attended Life Community Church. He was the owner of R & K Incinerator of rural Decatur. He was a past member of the board of directors for Decatur Bank & Trust and First Merchants Bank. Mark also served on the Soil & Water Conservation board, Adams County Extension board, and was also a member of the Lake James Yacht Club. Additional survivors include two sons, Adam B. (Nicole) Kaehr of Decatur, IN, and Aaron M. Kaehr of Jackson, MS; three grandchildren, Landon, Andrew, and Alaina Kaehr; two sisters, Sara L. (Kevin) Beaty and Jennifer K. (Dan) Brink, both of Bluffton, IN; and a brother, Jeff L. Kaehr of Wabash, IN. In addition to his father, Mark was also preceded in death by a brother, Scott E. Kaehr. Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2013, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, from noon until 8:00 p.m., all at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held Wednesday, at Life Community Church in Bluffton, at 10:00 a.m., with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Mark Gerber and Chad Ringger will be officiating the service. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County. Memorial contributions may be given to the Heart Transplant Support Group of Jacksonville, FL, or Haiti Project.
